South Africa bans Zimbabwe Cigarettes

South Africa bans Zimbabwe Cigarettes

The South Africa Standards Association has reportedly banned Savannah Tobacco’s 2s cigarette brand in its market.

SASA did not clearly outline any manufacturing defects or the hazardous nature of the product which according to South African Department of Trade and Industry is the leading reason for all bans on imported products but restricted the product on grounds that it did not meet packaging requirements of the market.

In a notification to Savannah Tobacco, SASA asked the cigarette manufacturing company to show cause why the product was legal.
