“ Kill all male kids,

The new born kids,

Of Hebrew birth,

To face the death !

 

Pharaoh’s edict

Was the verdict,

Making all Egypt

Smart to do it –

 

Such an edict,

Worst of Egypt,

Caused to forfeit

All the benefit –

 

Kids got killed,

Blood was spilled,

The air was stilled,

With Sorrow , filled –

 

Kid’s killing ,

Mother’s wailing ,

Sighs from the skin

Reached to the brim :

 

A new born child,

That too , male child ,

Kept in the bushes ,

That was Moses !

To save his life

From Pharaoh’s Knife,

His Mother’s trick

Made the Click !
